Alongside the LAMP programmes, Forward Consulting supports conservation organisations and communities with planning and executive coaching, and redesigns existing training programmes.
Strategic and operational planning
We support boards and leadership teams to develop their strategic plans. The work starts with stakeholder interviews and a situational analysis. A facilitated retreat with the board or leadership team then produces a draft plan. The plan is written up, checked with partners and summarised on a single page.
We also help organisations turn an existing strategic plan into an operational plan, with clear priorities, responsibilities and timelines that teams can work to.
Conservancy and community land management plans
We work with communities and conservancies to develop management plans for their land. This draws on the curriculum Forward Consulting developed for establishing and managing new conservancies.
Executive coaching
One-to-one coaching for directors and senior leaders, focused on their own leadership challenges. Sessions run in person in Kenya or online.

Training redesign
We redesign existing training programmes to follow the LAMP approach, so that they are visual, participatory and practical for the people taking part. Past work includes programmes for peace, rangeland management, new board induction, financial training and fundraising.
